It's done and it looks really good. I have to say is not that bad when it comes to wielding a paintbrush, no matter how much crap I give him.:) The pictures turned out looking like two totally different colors, but to clear any confusion it's a yellow but not too yellow with white trim. Next we're going to get some wall vinyls of some cute birds to put on the walls.

Painting the baby's room. A Task, a Chore, an Adventure
So one day i decided I wanted to paint the room that is going to be our baby room.
It took a lot of primer and many man hours on Tim's part, (there is photographic evidence of me helping, see?) but we finally got the room to a point we could paint it. when we first moved in the room that was designated was a periwinkle color of sorts. The picture really doesn't show how dark the paint actually was. And every time a layer of primer dried, the blue purple or "Bloctopus" colored paint as Tim so lovingly dubbed it, soaked it up and showed through. I wasn't really sure as to what color I wanted to paint it but it had to be bright because the room is on the back of the house, it doesn't get that much sun anyway, you know yadda, yadda, yadda. So it had to be something that wouldn't absorb every ounce of light that actually did make it into the room. Finally Tim and I decided that a nice light yellow would be a good change and for a baby's room totally neutral right?

Our First Piece of Baby Equipment!! WooHoo!
So Tim and are proud owners of baby EQUIPMENT. YAY! you just wonder you know babies are so small what do they really need? Well I'll be the first to tell you, babies need TONS and TONS of STUFF. An arsenal really.... okay okay maybe the parents need a ton of stuff to make baby raising easier or more fun, and this our first piece! we went to Sears to look at what selection they had when it came to car seat and the strollers they can be hooked to, and we found the cutest one I've ever seen. I have been really adimate about not getting anything gender biased because I'd like to use it for the next few children. And we've looked pretty much everywhere and everything we thought we liked another member of our family would show up with their kid in it. I know it's trivial, but I feel I've always been one to do things my own way. (P.S. Tim is only smiling like that because I told him to smile because he had on his "cool" face before and he just looked mad, so I figured that wasn't the right emotion to have, so I told him to smile like he was happy about it and that's what I got.)(smack hand to the forehead here)
Anyway, look how awesomely cute it is!!! It's gender neutral, but still could be considered for a girl and the basket on bottom is huge!!! and the canopy thing that goes over the top as a sun shade is huge!!! and there's a bar that clicks into the stroller so the carseat will lock into it and that's awesome!! and pretty much I just love it. It went together in a second and I can steer it with one hand and did I mention the basket on the bottom being HUGE?

Mercedes and Baby Landon Baby Shower
So a little while ago we had a baby shower for Mercedes and her soon to be here baby Landon. There we a LOT of people there and it was nice to feel support for her. Everything went nicely and pretty much everyone got a prize for the games we played. Hopefully Landon doesn't grow out of all his clothes so fast!!!!:)

Abigail Mei Armitstead, Yay She's Here!!!!
Steph and Kevin have finally welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world as of 11:08 pm April 15th, 2009. She was a big baby at 8lbs 6oz I believe and 19 inches long. She has wonderful dark hair and right now is kind of a cone head because of how much time just sitting on one spot. Her labor was a long, hard process, back labor beginning to bother Steph on Sunday if not earlier and with two and a half hours of pushing, Mom was EXHAUSTED, (plainly illustrated on Steph's face.)

Oh Sad!
So my dad just came to my house and told me that they might not be going down to the farm after all, so I'm not even sure if Tim will want to go if no one else is going. That and it is snowing and we'll have to drive through a canyon. CRAP!!!! And it's supposed to snow tomorrow too. I feel bad though, my Grandpa really enjoys having someone to go to Preisthood with and then they go buy ice cream and we have root beer floats. Poop. Maybe we'll still go. Maybe Justin will want to ride down with us tomorrow. then i don't have to stick around here at night when the boys go to Priesthood.
April 3rd,4th,5th Yay for Conference Time!!
This weekend is semi annual General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where we as members get to be instructed by our leaders and sing songs, and read scriptures, and feel the Spirit. It's a wonderful time. My family has the tradition for as long as I can remember of going down to my Grandma and Grandpa Harward's Farm. Yay!!! The farm has always been a sanctuary for me to get away every so often and just RELAX. That is of course when the house isn't full of screaming kids. (Kim, I'm not talking about yours, I have never actually heard your kids talk more than two sentences at a time.;)) I don't know what it is about being out there, so close to the mountains and having a bunch of open space to just walk around, there's horses and turkeys and sheep sometimes and now that it's SPRING! (it is spring, snow or not) there will be baby everything!! AWWWW precious. I would have some pictures, but in the process of moving stuff around my house Tim has buried it underneath a mountain of junk. Bravo Sweetheart. Anyways here's a map of the area and that surrounding it because everyone always gets a blank look on their face when I tell them it's between Nephi and Moroni in a little town called Fountain Green and my Grandparents actual house is just outside Fountain Green in an even smaller area (it's not a town, I guess) called Freedom. http://utah.hometownlocator.com/ut/sanpete/fountain-green.cfm This is a satellite photo of the area and if you follow the highway 117 just a little bit out side of town you can actually zoom in on the property and the house. It's all very exciting.;)

YAY the music is back!
I'm just glad to have figured out how to get my playlists back on the blog. I'll change them up every once in a while cause I know we all need a little Gummie Bears theme song every now and again.:)
