Christmas Comes and Christmas Goes

So this year was our first Christmas being married and actually getting to wake up together. It was so nice!! But I wasn't planning on waking up at 3:00 in the morning being wide awake, so of course, I woke Tim up. Hey if I'm awake so is he, it's only fair. So we were both awakw at 3:00 and we played cards until Tim and Penny both couldn't keep their eyes open at around 3:30. Then I just played cards by myself until about 4 and we slept in until about 8.

Puppet Playtime

So yesterday my MIL and FIL and SIL and her husband all went Christmas shopping and left Shealyn, my other SIL in charge of the little nieces; Mikaela and Kynna. We were over mooching food and wasting time so we offered to help out with them. We eventually brought the whole crew to my house which is only a block away, so it's not that big of a deal and we found several ways to entertain them. A while ago while Tim and I were wandering around IKEA, we stumbled upon a bin of finger puppets and hand puppets. We grabbed two different kinds if the smaller ones because you could get more for the 2 bucks that we paid... Anyways, so Tim has been positivley itching to use these for something and TaDa! nieces are the perfect solution. Tim took them up to Mindy's house once and the girls LOVED them. So whilst we were in charge today, we took them out and Tim and the girls played with them. They had a lot of fun and it was really cute to see how excited they would get. Of course Mikaela would tell everyone what to say and that kind of took the imagination out of it, but they still had a blast.

HeartBeats

Yesterday, December 18th, I was officially pregnant well I was officially pregnant before but the doctor's appointment yesterday made it all more real to me. Not only was having someone I don't know down between my knees a less than stellar experience, but I heard my baby's heart beat for the first time. Tim kinda ruined it for me later by saying, " Do you think if the doctor is in a hurry or can't find a heart beat there's a button on the side with a recording of one, just so you don't leave disappointed?" I knew it was real because it was very easy to find, right on top. The nurse practitioner listened for maybe a grand total of 30 seconds before the quick, strong and really loud "lub dub" of my baby could be heard. I was excited to hear it but now it just makes me more anxious to hear it again. I need to find one of those doppler things to take home because I miss hearing the little noise I heard just yesterday. I didn't think pictures of this experience would have been appropriate for something my sister lets her son look at, so there's no pictures for this one. After the appointment I was so thrilled (and starving) that I could barely think. Then of course Tim made his comment about the fake heartbeat and all I could think of was hitting him square in the nose. We went to Chadder's (finally some say) and we were not impressed. Sorry, just not impressed. and it's not just the pregnant girl, Tim was just as judgmental. Sorry for 13.00$ I could make a better tasting burger and fries that won't allow your blood to pump so fast your heart could explode. In n' Out is better I have to say, and to tell you the truth I don't like In n' Out, but really even crappy food could not overshadow my joy in hearing my baby's heart beat.

It's Christmas! It's Christmas Time!

We finally got our tree up a few weeks ago and i've just been to lazy to blog about it and because Tim wouldn't let take any pictures of him decorating it. And of course he won't take any pictures of me decorating it... I don't matter. pity me... please

I bet you can't tell it's the same tree when the lights are plugged in. Oh but trust me it is.

Makeover Time!

okay so let me explain, so this is my AFTER picture because I'm dumb and I have issue with learning how to blog things. So know we know that this is not a very appealing way for me to sit and have my picture taken, let's move on... very quickly. This is Dorthy's AFTER picture, I know the flash is on and it makes her look like it's "MIME TIME" nice huh?

Dothy's BEFORE picture. She's so cute.

My BEFORE picture... GAG me.

This is the stranger I was introduced to today. She was very approachable and very easy to laugh with, and best of all she didn't have man hands... which would be very awkward.

So one day I got a call from a complete stranger asking me if I would like to come over to her house to do a Mary Kay Makeover class. Strangers calling me on the phone, a little fishy and all together just weird. But free makeover and crap to go with it??! Sure! Throw caution to the wind and let my usually present wild side ultimately take over. So first of all we get lost because I'm an idiot and can't read south and west directions. Then we finally get there and it's all awkward because we're the only ones there and I don't even know this person. A normal person's radar would be going off like crazy and they would usually be timid and a little shy maybe. But not me, my caution was in the wind remember? no going back now. I don't know who I made feel more uncomfortable, me or my sister or the Mary Kay lady herself, oh P.S. her name was Angela, nice lady, not really formidable opponent material who I usually end being subject to, Man Hands and stuff like that... long story maybe next time. But all in all it was pretty fun. I will be throwing my own party in a few weeks for a chance to scam some free stuff... WooHoo FREE!!! So here are mine and Dorthy's before and after photos some are just silly because of the flash and I decided to put them up anyways and laugh at them seeing as I'm the only person who ever reads my blog.....:)

Still sitting around at home.

Yes. It's true I am still sitting around at home waiting for a job to call on one of the hundreds of applications that I've filled out but Target didn't even want me so I don't know how much luck I'll have with any of it.
