Feeding the Ducks on New Years

Every so often Tim's mom likes to take the grand kids and Trevon out to the Salt Lake Airport International Center where there is a lake and a bridge and a huge flock of ducks that stay there all year round, waiting for the day they will come to feed them old stale bread. The white duck in the center is Mikaela Kolka-Dot Duck named so for the pattern in her feathers. Mikaela named her when she was little and could say Polka-Dot so she became the Kolka-Dot Duck. Last spring and summer she was raising little ducklings on the pond so we spent a deal of time trying to guess which ducklings were hers.

Julie, Kynna, Mikaela and Trevon on the safety of the table away from the awful Geese.
All the birds cam right up to meet us at the car! they were starving and the Geese would get so close the little girls were afraid to get off the table. What awful manners!!!

So, i'm pretty much terrified of ducks, and all birds, so thanks for the mild panic attack. i saw a crane this morning and wanted to drive on the wrong side of the road just to avoid it even more. Ugh! I'm excited for baby!

that's pretty much the saddest thing I've ever heard. Is there something you're NOT afraid of so I can post about that?
