Puppy Play Date.

From left to right: Riley, Mike and Daisy, Piper, Melia's foot
Ahh me in all my glory, gosh I'm huge. Tim was getting complaints from the people at work that he was making up that his wife was a fictional whale. See three pictures that prove this whale is ALL REAL.
(shudder) just keep going.
Sean and Melia with their dog; Piper (the one who's butt is the only part of her you can see)

Great they found the water. Lovely.

Penny and Piper just gettin' to know each other

So Tim and Sean had a play date, oh um I mean, the date was arranged for our dogs to meet each other. (Riiight) Tim invited his brother Mike to join us and bring their dog Daisy. Besides driving forever looking in the completely wrong spot for the dog park Sean and Melia had taken their dog Piper, it was a lot of fun to watch the dogs play and sniff around experiencing new things. Piper being the youngest was the most vocal by far and the most active. Penny would chase and run for a little bit, but was more interested in smelling all the dogs that had been there within the last 4 days. Daisy was well, Daisy. She moseyed along and smelled a few things just glad to be outside I think.

Baby Baking Update.

It's not going so well, I'll tell you that right now. I went to the doctor today after two weeks. Nothing has changed. So unfortunately I will have to stay large and annoyed for a while longer. Yippe. So it's getting down to the wire and the doctor todl me if she doesn't get started by the 10th of July then we'll get her started for you. What????!!!! The 10th of July? June isn't even over yet!!!! Why does life hate me so much? Just kidding mostly I'm being a pessimist, but really pregnancy really isn't bad it's the WAITING. And the waiting and waiting some more. My sisters, they were lucky their kids decided to come early. Of course Dorthy had to have an emergency c-section and Steph got induced because her body was starting to show signs of preeclampsia. But no not me, I'm normal and healthy and Riley is patient. Unfortunately for me. I would just like to be able to breathe normally again, that's all kid really. Tim said that he would have to shake my belly more often, like THAT'LL ever happen. He's too ADD to sit still for a minute, rather than induce a baby. So if any of you readers have any suggestions for speeding up the baby born time, please let me know. And I'm perfectly aware of the variety that demands the husbands... uh, help. See above comment.

I know, it started as a family update blog, not a pregnancy blog

So I'm 37 weeks and ready to die today. I'm just using this blog as an outlet to complain, so if you don't want to read that kind of stuff, then you might as well leave now. I now I'm probably just being a baby and being really silly but my back hurts so bad it makes me want to cry. I had contractions this morning but they went away so I'm not too concerned about those. I read internet posts about people describing back labor and that's what mine feel like but I had back issues before I was even married, due to some adventurous snowboarding (mostly I just fell on my butt and broke my tail bone, when is healed, i pinched a nerve or something, totally off subject) Tim is really hoping it's labor but I'm not really sure what I want to happen. Labor isn't scary to me, it would just be weird to think about not being pregnant and seeing what this poor child actually looks like. That's probably what I fear the most is having a ugly baby. I know most newborns aren't cute when they first pop out, but I just don't know how Tim and my genes will mix. Horrifically probably. and then everyone tells me that when they're your own, you think they are the most beautiful thing on the planet, really if anyone knows me, they know that if something is ugly, like my baby for example, then I'll cop up to it. I won't love it any less, I'll just love something ugly. Anyway, back to how I'm feeling now. Sweaty mostly. I know lovely image, but it's true! I woke up with absolutely no desire to get ready for the day so now I'm sitting in bed typing and smelling like a grease ball with severe back issues. Yay. I also woke up at 1:30 this morning to Penny jumping up on my bed and preventing all the covers from being pulled up, surprisingly enough, I was a chilled temperature this morning and actually wanted to be under the covers. But only for a few minutes because almost immediately Penny snuggled up to my side and instantly warmed the bed up making me the sweaty animal I now am. Exciting I know. It's like a book you can't put down. Or a dead animal you just can't stop looking at and poking even though it smells really bad. You know, which ever.

Monday June 15th- 37 Weeks

So on Monday I will have reached my 37 week mark and after that I could have the baby ANY DAY. Not really, it's just fun to say that because it feels like we've been waiting forever to see what she looks like, and what kind of personality she has. Tim and I have the crib and crib set on the way, so hopefully she waits until after that's here to come, but we always have the pack and play which is, well, super cute (see pack n' play post). But it's really hard for me to think about being un-pregnant because pregnancy hasn't really been a hassle for me except for this last month. I was so blessed not to have morning sickness and aches and pains, and my dear husband just let me look for a job on my own terms but now that it's so close, it's pretty much just useless. I've been able to beat the boredom with my dad and mom being home from work on Fridays and any other day they are home they don't get too sick of me being there all the time. I think really the only thing that has got in my head during pregnancy is the swollen feet (which they haven't done in a while, hallelujah!) and the inability to bend over or clean the house without breaking into a sauna sweat. I guess I could complain about heartburn, but I was just so glad I wasn't throwing up all the time that I would take heartburn over it anyday. It's been an adventure getting ready for this baby as we've gotten closer to the final days the more urgent everything feels. Tim has insisted on packing the bag for the hospital so it's now sitting under our bed packed and ready to go we need to call the hospital still and pre-register, but that can be done quickly. We are having a get-together barbecue/baby shower/ open house/ house warming for the baby and so Mike and Emily can show they're new house to people, so if you did not get an invitation I am sorry but you are invited; I just couldn't think of a kazillion people to send invitations to.

June 20th at the home of Mike and Emily Tucker at 6322 w Teasel Avenue WVC, UT 84128.
If you have any issues finding it call me or Tim at 801-915-5945.

Anyways now that I'm past advertising for my own baby shower (low and desperate I know), I think that's about all the thoughts I have on the subject right at the moment, so I'm going to end the post before I go nuts.

More Graduation Pics, Just Not of Justin

Abi- just because she's so cute
Can you blame me for loving those cheeks??? They are the cutest little mob boss cheeks I've ever seen!!!!
Rowan was trying to make his way down the seats to get to Tim, but Rory was having one of his "days" and wouldn't let him through.

The video I got of Justin actually walking. I got the tail end of his first name and mostly just me screaming for him. Yay for graduation.

Justin Graduates!!!!! See world He WASN'T Just Teasing Us!!!!!

Hallelujah! Justin graduated! Just kidding J, we all knew he would make it, it just took a little "friendly persuasion". Here are some pics from the happy event and I'll try and see if I can get the video of him actually graduation to work.
The Grad with Grandma and Grandpa Harward.
Justin's graduating class '09. In my opinion they were a little more rambunctious then previous years, and the dress code certaintly isn't what it was when I graduated, but it's over now that's all that matters and I believe that Justin wholeheartedly agrees with me.

Baby Stuff Piece # 2!!!

Technically, this would be baby thing, um a hundred because I went a little crazy one day and bought two of Riley's weight in clothes, but we're counting it as number 2 because it's a BIG thing. Well, kinda big. We bought this pack and play to use as the bassinet and changing and then we don't have to get a baby cage for when she's bigger, we'll already have one! Aren't I brilliant? Just nod your head and agree, I don't need an honest answer. But I think Tim liked it because of the leaves. the chameleon will never get stressed out with it in the same room!!!! (Riiiight)
